Position: Director of Finance

Location: Austin, Texas (Hybrid once acclimated)

Salary: $165,000–$180,000 DOE

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Finance to lead the financial operations of our organization. This role will have primary oversight of both the balance sheet and P&L, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective cash flow management, and strategic planning to support growth and operational efficiency. The Director of Finance will collaborate closely with senior leadership to provide insights and recommendations that drive business performance and long-term value. The position will be hybrid once acclimated .

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis of P&L and balance sheet accounts.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support operational and strategic initiatives.
• Develop financial strategies and provide recommendations to senior leadership to drive business performance.
• Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering professional growth and high performance.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare financial presentations and reports for the Board of Directors and stakeholders.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate business opportunities, capital expenditures, and operational efficiency initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred
• 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including P&L and balance sheet management.
• Strong leadership experience managing finance teams in a hybrid or corporate environment.
• Advanced proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Excel).
• Excellent analytical, communication and strategic thinking skills.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with executive leadership to drive financial performance.
