HVA is a community of PK-12 schools, a college support program, and a graduate school, the Deeper Learning Institute, where teachers earn a master's and certification.
The unique deeper learning model at HVA focuses on student independence, critical thinking, ethical leadership, intellectual curiosity, and intrinsic motivation. Serving 98% Black and Latino students, HVA consistently outperforms the district, city, and state by wide margins, and ranks at the very top of charter schools. 100% of HVA high school students earn admission to college each year, and 83% are the first in their families to attend college.
The OpportunityAs a Social Worker at HVA, you play a vital role in ensuring that each student fully realizes his or her potential. You partner with students, families, teachers, and staff to help students overcome and/or successfully manage barriers that negatively impact their academic, social, and emotional success at school. You provide counseling to our students in individual and group settings. You lead the way in managing crises and ensuring that students have access to outside resources as needed. You guide teachers and other staff to effectively address student issues.

ResponsibilitiesThe salary range for a full time Social Worker is $76,000 - $126,000, and is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
