Job Summary

3Z Brands has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Transportation Manager based in Glendale, AZ.

Position Summary:

The Transportation Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all transportation activities to ensure the efficient and safe movement of 3Z products. This role oversees daily transportation operations, manages carrier relationships, optimizes local routing and delivery schedules, and ensures compliance with transportation laws and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will balance operational efficiency with cost control and excellent service performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and manage local transportation activities to achieve business and customer service objectives.
• Develop and optimize local delivery and routing schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective shipments.
• Supervise and support transportation and production staff, including drivers, and shipping and receiving coordinators.
• Manage Glendale based fleet operations, maintenance schedules, and vehicle utilization.
• Negotiate rates and contracts with agencies for temp drivers and trailer rentals.
• Manage forklift fleet and driver safety training for all forklift operators. .
• Maintain compliance with all DOT, OSHA, and local transportation regulations.
• Implement and maintain safety policies and procedures for all transportation personnel.
• Collaborate with warehouse, purchasing, and production teams to ensure smooth supply chain operations.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or 5 years plus experience in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field required.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or fleet management.
• 2+ years of supervisory or management experience.
• Proven experience with route optimization, budgeting, and vendor management.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Proficient in logistics and transportation management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA, or equivalent).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Deep understanding of DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
